✅ Widget: Team Feed (Connect)

The Team Feed widget displays real-time updates of your team’s activity. It’s available to all your Team members and helps everyone stay on the same page.

Add the Team Feed Widget

• Create/Join a Team
  • In Wavebox, sign in with an account that has Teams enabled.
  • If needed, invite team members so you can collaborate in shared dashboards.
• Open a Shared Dashboard
  • Create a new dashboard or open an existing one shared with your team.
  • Ensure it’s shared with your team:
    • Click on the ☰ Dashboard Menu
    • Hover over the team name in the list.
    • Click the ⋮ menu and hover over 'Share with Team'.
• Add the Widget
  • Click Add a Widget in the top-right corner of the dashboard.
  • Find Connect Team Feed in the widget library.
  • Select the widget to add it to your dashboard.

The Team Feed will instantly show any recent team actions in the shared dashboard.

Use the Team Feed

• View Recent Updates
  • Look for entries like “Alice added X” or “Bob joined the team.”
  • Each entry shows who made the change and when.
• Resize and Move
  • Drag the widget by its header to reposition it on the dashboard.
  • Click and drag from a corner to resize.
• Pop-out the Widget
  • Hover over the widget’s top-right corner and click the pop-out icon.
  • Keep the feed visible on your desktop, even if you switch dashboards.

Troubleshooting

• Widget Not Showing in the Library
  • Check that you have added it to the correct dashboard, especially if you manage multiple teams.
  • Update Wavebox to the latest version if you don’t see the widget.
  • Contact support if the problem persists.
• Feed is Blank
  • It only displays certain events (e.g., new members, new links, or apps).
  • Test by starting a chat with someone on the team.
  • Contact support if the problem persists.
• Feed Not Syncing Properly
  • Check your internet connection.
  • Refresh Wavebox or toggle to a different dashboard and back.
  • Contact support if the problem persists.
• Accidental Removal
  • Removing the widget in a shared dashboard affects everyone.
  • The widget may still be included in the Library under 'Shared Widgets'.
  • Any team member with edit access can do this.

Tips for Advanced Users

• Mirror the Feed Across Multiple Dashboards
  • Add the same Team Feed widget to different dashboards.
  • All instances of the widget sync in real time, so you’ll never miss an update.
• Use with Wavebox Connect
  • See something in the feed that needs discussion? Open Connect (the chat/call feature) to message teammates directly.
