✅ Widget: iFrame

Use iFrame widgets to keep an eye on reports, feeds, or any site that supports embedding in an iframe.

Add the iFrame Widget.

  • Add Widget
    • Click Add Widget in the top-right corner of the dashboard.
    • Look through the list and select Embedded iFrame.
  • Enter the URL
    • In the widget’s settings, type or paste the website URL you want to embed.
    • Some sites don’t allow embedding, so if you see an error, try a different URL or an official “embed link” (e.g., YouTube’s youtube.com/embed/… format).
  • Save & View
    • Click the Save (disk icon or checkmark) to load the site.
    • If the site supports iframes, it will appear in the widget.
    • If there’s an error, see Troubleshooting below.
  • Position & Resize
    • Click and drag the widget to move it around.
    • Drag an edge or corner to resize.

Troubleshooting

  • Blank or Error Icon
    • The site may block iframes. Check if there’s an official embed link or try a different site.
    • If embedding isn’t allowed, you’ll need to open it as a regular Wavebox app/tab instead.
  • Login Required
    • If the site needs a login, sign in within the iFrame widget.
    • Some sites keep separate sessions for iframes, so you may have to log in again.
  • Missing Widget Option
    • Ensure Wavebox is up to date and that you’re in a Dashboard (not a normal tab).
    • If you still don’t see the Embedded iFrame widget, check for any pending Wavebox updates or relaunch Wavebox.
  • Slow Performance
    • Each iFrame acts like an open tab. If you add too many, it may affect performance.
    • Close or remove any widgets you’re not using.
