✅ Widget: Google Calendar

Keep an eye on your schedule without ever leaving Wavebox. The Google Calendar widget displays your day’s events and reminders at a glance. Follow these steps to set it up, learn a few tips, and get back to work faster.

Add the Widget

💡
If you have multiple Google Calendars in Wavebox, create the widget in a dashboard that shares the same space.
  • Add Widget
    • In any dashboard, click Add Widget button top-right.
    • In the Widget Library, select Google Calendar.
  • Embed Helper & Code.
    • In the widget, click on the 'Embed Helper' link to launch Google Calendar in a pop-up window.
    • At the top of the window, copy the embed code and close the window.
    • Paste the embed code into the widget text field.
    • Click on the Save (disc) icon.
  • Position & Resize
    • Click and drag the widget to move it around.
    • Drag an edge or corner to resize.
  • Pop-Out View
    • Hover over the widget, click the settings icon, and choose Pop Out. Keep your schedule visible in a small floating window.

Troubleshooting

  • Blank or Error Message
    • Double-check you’re signed into the correct Google account.
    • Ensure the calendar is shareable or embedded correctly.
  • No Notifications
    • The widget provides a view-only calendar.
    • Enable event reminders in the full Google Calendar app, and allow Wavebox notifications in your system settings.
  • Can’t Edit Events
    • Embedded calendars are usually read-only.
    • For adding or modifying events, open Google Calendar in a full tab or as a dedicated Wavebox app.
  • Multiple Accounts
    • Use separate workspaces or containers for different Google accounts.
    • If the widget shows the wrong calendar, re-add it while signed into the correct account.
