✅ Focus Mode

Focus Mode helps you reduce distractions in Wavebox by turning off notifications, hiding unread badges, and muting audio. It’s ideal for focusing on work, studying, or simply enjoying a quieter browsing experience.

Enable Focus Mode

  • Open the Focus Mode panel:
    • Click the bell icon in the bottom-left corner of the Wavebox window.
  • Choose what to mute:
    • Desktop Notifications: Stop banner alerts.
    • Unread Badges: Hide red unread counts on app icons.
    • Audio: Mute all sounds from Wavebox.
  • Select a duration:
    • Pick a preset (30 minutes, 1 hour, etc.) or set a custom end time.
  • Enter Focus Mode:
    • Click Enter Focus Mode to begin.
    • The bell icon will highlight to show it’s active.

While Focus Mode is on, you won’t see notifications or unread badges, and audio will be silenced.

Focus Zones

Focus Zones let you apply Focus Mode to specific app groups instead of everything.

  • Create a Focus Zone
    • In the Focus Mode panel, click the scope dropdown (e.g., “All Apps & Tabs”) and select Create.
    • Name the zone and select which app groups it should include.
  • Use a Focus Zone
    • Choose your custom zone in the scope dropdown.
    • Adjust mute options and duration, then Enter Focus Mode.
    • Only the groups in that zone will be muted.

Exit Focus Mode

  • Manual Exit: Click the bell icon again and select Leave Focus Mode. Notifications and badges will return immediately.
  • Automatic Exit: If you set a time limit, Focus Mode will end on its own. Once it’s off, notifications and badges resume as usual.

Tips & Troubleshooting

  • Double-check mute options
    If you still get alerts, make sure you’ve checked all relevant boxes (notifications, badges, sound).
  • Peek at updates
    If you want a quick look at important updates without leaving Focus Mode, open Wavebox Mini for a brief overview.
  • Keyboard shortcuts
    Assign a custom shortcut in Settings > Keyboard Shortcuts to toggle Focus Mode quickly.
  • Update Wavebox
    Make sure you’re on the latest version of Wavebox to access all Focus Mode features.
