🆕 Brainbox Update: GPT5, Claude & 1 Million Free Monthly Tokens.
We’re excited to announce an upgrade to Brainbox with the integration of newly released AI engines.
After extensive industry reviews and hands-on testing by our team, we’ve decided to replace OpenAI's GPT-4 with the innovative GPT-5 Mini engine. GPT-5 Mini delivers the same fast and high-quality performance as GPT-4, so you won’t experience any loss in capability.
The best part?
Since GPT-5 Mini is more affordable to run, we’re now able to offer an incredible 1 million FREE tokens per month to all Pro users!
And that's not all.
We've also added our Wavebox Assistant to Brainbox as a separate engine. Our support agent was recently released to help answer questions about Wavebox, help solve queries and help with onboarding tips. Learn more about this here.
🤖 Using the New Engines
Accessing the new engines is simple. Click the Brainbox icon in the top toolbar to open the Brainbox panel. Then click the engine dropdown menu at the top to select your preferred version:
- GPT5 Mini – Fast, balanced, and great for most tasks.
- GPT5 Mini Reasoning – A slower but more thoughtful model, ideal for complex questions. (Note: May use tokens more quickly.)
🔑 Add Your Own API Keys: GPT-5 & Anthropic
For even greater flexibility, we're introducing support for custom OpenAI and Anthropic API keys. This means you can:
- OpenAI: Use your own API key to access the full version of GPT-5 directly from OpenAI.
- Anthropic: Connect your Anthropic account to use Sonnet and Claude engines.
To manage or add your API keys:
- Go to Settings > My Wavebox > Brainbox.
- Enter your key(s).
- Your keys will then instantly appear in engine dropdown at the top of the Brainbox panel.
