Address Bar (Omnibox)
The Address Bar, also called the omnibox, can be found at the top of the main Wavebox window as part of the main Toolbar.
Use the address bar as you would in Chrome—to enter URLs and search the web. You can also use it to switch between apps, search Wavebox, and add apps from the Wavebox App Store.
Navigate to URLs
- Click the Address Bar or press Ctrl/⌘ + L.
- Type or paste the website address.
- Press Enter to open the page.
Search
Type any keywords in the address bar, and then...
- Hit Enter to search the web.
- Navigate to an app/tab in Wavebox from the dropdown.
- Add a suggested app from the dropdown

Customization
- Keyboard Shortcuts: Go to Settings > General > Keyboard Shortcuts > Toolbar Visibility > Toggle the address bar and set your own combo.

- Setting an App's Home URL: Right-click on an app icon, then go to App Settings > Account & Behaviour >App URL and paste in the URL.
Managing Auto-Fill Predictors
The way Wavebox displays the full URL is part of Chromium, but you can make changes in Settings:
- To delete all existing predictors:
- Go to: Settings > Privacy and Security > Clear all browsing data > Only Check 'History'.
- To delete selected predictors:
- Go to wavebox://predictors/ in any window
- Hover over ones you wish to remove and click on the 'x'
Troubleshooting
- Missing Address Bar: Re-enable it in Settings > General > Advanced Flags > Show Address Bar > Toggle ON.
- No Side Search: Supported only with Google as the default search engine.
- Slow or Unresponsive: Disable conflicting extensions, update Wavebox, or restart.
